Megan Dixon, LPC, SEP
Mindfulness-Based Somatic Psychotherapy
Megan is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Somatic Experiencing® (SE) Practitioner. She loves working with people who know they could benefit from spending less time in their heads, and more time in their bodies. Coming from a Fine Art background, Megan holds an MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southern Oregon University. She’s passionate about helping her clients understand more intimately the ways that disrupted attachment and trauma get in the way of living and enjoying life fully. She loves to discover the unique paths towards more integration and peace for every heart and nervous system. As an SE practitioner, she is also well-equipped to support clients who identify with having more classic PTSD symptoms.
Her approach to therapy emphasizes the healing power of flow and connection- within the therapeutic relationship, with one’s self, to one’s community, and to the earth. She draws on her experience as an artist to encourage deeper reflection and exploration of self for her clients, weaving the power of intention and intuition into her practice.
She works with individuals navigating change and struggle within relationship, in their search for an optimal career, and in their design of a life that reflects their truest desires and values. She holistically holds her clients in their endeavor to find meaning with laughter, embodiment, curiosity, and humility.
